I heard that curious people die faster, no matter if you are curios just for your own safety, one look and you can be noticed. Being unknown is a safe space, not knowing everything is a safe space. The protagonist, an night owl, is watching a movie. A popup add shows up and locks in the screen. Our protagonist get's connected with something he doesn't know if he's capable of getting out from. A wrong step in the online world, a single sign of existence and you can be targeted. There are many weird people in this world who can target you for no reason, like you hit the jackpot on casinos, you win it totally randomly. It was you, but it could have been anyone. The same with this targets, it was you, but it could have been anyone.

It did not take long before I could hear her soft breaths. I watched as her chest slowly rose and fell with her breaths. She was fast asleep. This was my chance. I slowly creaked open the door of the closet and took weary steps towards her bed, careful to not make a sound. I crouched down next to her face and brushed her hair back and tucked it behind her ear. I caressed her face. Her cheeks were flushed red. She was beautiful even in pain.
