The Boudreaux Sisters is a story about four Creole sisters who are descendants of the infamous Voodoo Queen, Marie Laveau II. After unfortunate circumstances, Eva Marie, the mother of the Boudreaux SIsters, is forced to close down The Healing Pointe, which was a family business in New Orleans that was run by her legendary father, Dr. Aggie Boudreaux. Eva Marie relocated to Atlanta with her longtime partner, Jackie, her mother, Mama Red and their daughters, Caresse Annette, Marcelle Antoinette, Brigette Marie and Desiree Laurent. After settling down in Atlanta, Eva Marie soon discovers that her daughters have inherited unique and special gifts. Eva Marie, who is also uniquely special, begins to help her daughters hone their abilities. She also decides to carry on her father's legacy and open up The Healing Center. Not only is The Healing Center a herbal remedy shop, it is also a bonne magie shop, which means "good magic" in Creole, to help those in need. As you read, you'll find out that not everyone is who they say they are and at the end of the day, some people will do anything for love. Even if it means hurting their best friend. Dey say we youths too outta place and dat we need a taste of the older generation's kinda race. But have they contemplated MY opinions? Did they ask me MY choice? Or what's MY decisions?! Disclaimer: This poem was written in Trinidadian Creole. All references to humor are based on events, people and culture pertaining to Trinidad and Tobago. In other words, this is not English so do not correct my grammar and you may not understand the comedic effect if you have not been exposed to this Creole. Thank you for understanding.

The narrative "Passion in Disguise" is a short story surrounding the life of Leonard Bailey, as he peruses his passion to continue the football legacy of his old grandfather, Jamaican footballer Leon bailey. The narrative is set in New York, the year 2087, due to his nonathletic body he was discriminated and has been denied entry to football complexes, but his faith leads up to the tryouts in being a part of the Barcelona football club.

The world is the Citizen Republic, and its only language is Citizen. Over the course of a century the Citizen Republic conquered its provinces, near and far, triggering massive waves of immigration and dividing the people of the world into two categories: citizens and outlanders. Beaten by the military might of the Republic, outlanders in the provinces gave up their independence to become colonies. The Republic built roads, hospitals, and schools in its new territories, forcing all outlanders to learn citizen, wiping out all other languages for good. Now the outlander legends of old and their telling have all but died out under the weight of the citizen tongue. But not everyone is willing to forget - for there is magic in the outlander tongues, and word-mages willing to learn to wield them in their struggle to end the tyranny of the Citizen Republic and to free the languages of the world.

While building up a friendship, they help each other throughout the rest of the school year and change each other's lives forever. Rose reflects on her life thus far through a project assigned to her by her art teacher. At first, she's stressed out about it, but learns great truths about herself in the process.
