The last thing Monica Townsend expected when leaving her little office was to be kidnapped and held captive in an abandoned warehouse. A young highschool boy (Gloom), who has just gotten out of Juvenile Detention. He has been struggling to find a school that will allow such a student. When his parents find a school that would be good for him, he doesn't really care. He just wants to go somewhere no one knows his past or goes spreading rumors about what he could do now that he has gotten older. There, Gloom meets a smart girl named 'Ray' He meets her at the school library while looking for a book to read, he sees her reading the book he was looking for, and listening to music while reading. They start spending time together, and soon develop feelings for each other. Soon, as their relationship progresses they show each other sides of each other that the public has never seen before. Little does Ray know that Gloom was in Juvie, and why. This book is supposed to be the development of feelings between an ordinary schoolgirl, and a guy with a questionable past.
