During the mid 1850s, The British Empire, The French Empire and The Ottoman Empire went to war with the Russian Empire. It was the first modern war as it saw some of the first use of photography, railway and telegraphs in warfare. It also saw some of the first uses of trench warfare in a grim foreshadowing of the First World War. This story follows three fictional British soldiers - George Caine, Charlie Hicks and Jack Warren, in their adventures in Crimea from 1854 - 1856. Although the characters are fictional the battles they take part in were real, and their experiences are based on real ones. Some real historical people may also be featured. There may be some historical inaccuracies here and there so please feel free to report them if you see them.

Meeting on the battle field of one the fiercest war's she's ever seen ━ Florence is fated to die doing what she loves, helping others. It's a pitiful way to go, and Carlisle has always wanted a companion. So changing her seems to come far too easy for the doctor. But Florence never wanted to die, so, she wakes with newborn eyes with enthusiasm in her veins. Carlisle quickly becomes her most trusted friend, and together they pose together with each new place they arrive. When it comes to expanding their family, slowly but surely, Florence receives the support she's always wanted to further her knowledge on the world of medicine, after all, it's thanks to her that the foundation of modern nursing is credited too. Edward Masen, a sick boy in the lowly plagued streets of Chicago is not someone she expects to grow fond of. Especially because she knows how fickle human life is. But Carlisle changing him after the unfortunate demise of both his parents has something in Florence sparking. She's never been particularly interested in romance, her dedication always remaining loyal to her craft. But that all changes over many many years, as their family, their coven, grows and Florence finds herself living an existence she never knew she wanted, but needed.
