In this haunting and deeply courageous memoir, the author recounts surviving not just one kidnapping, but two additional attempted kidnappings by a man who impersonated a police officer who is a predator hiding in plain sight. What begins as a story of everyday routines: working, going to Zumba, reconnecting with joy and community unravels into a chilling account of manipulation, deception, and survival. Set against the backdrop of familiar neighborhoods and the warmth of friendships, the memoir explores how trauma can seep into the most ordinary of moments. The author brings readers inside the reality of living with hyper-awareness, of constantly scanning for safety, and the strength it takes to keep showing up: to work, to dance, and to live. From the first eerie encounter to the bold second attempt inside her workplace, the author reclaims her voice and her story. Through Zumba classes that became acts of resistance, handwritten letters to trusted officers, and moments of quiet resilience, she proves that survival is not just about escaping danger. It's about finding ways to keep going. This memoir is not only a personal narrative of survival but also a call to believe survivors, to question appearances, and to spotlight the cracks in systems that allow predators to thrive. With raw honesty, emotional depth, and moments of profound hope, Surviving the Shadows is a tribute to the power of intuition, community, and the strength it takes to reclaim one's body and life.

Stevie Hendrix is the Ultimate Caregiver, hell-bent on making everyone around her happy. She has been chosen to attend Hope's Peak Academy and she is overjoyed... Until she realises she's been lured into a game where in order to escape, they would need to kill another student. The thought would never cross Stevie's mind but the people she believed to be her friends, well... They had other, more grave intentions. Yes, this is a rewrite. I'm sorry, I just wasn't happy with how it played out so I'm writing it more in my new and improved style instead of the way I did the roleplay. With the help of my brother, I hope to make the cases more like that of the actual Danganronpa Series and with in depth work with the characters.

These stories are things I did in Criminal Justice class when we had to make up stories involving crimes. They're pretty decent in quality. I'm not the best writer but I'm gonna try. Some of the stories are connected but not all of them are. There will be ones I make up later when I'm not in the class anymore. I like how these turned out. People tell me they're good. If you like crime books, then read. If you don't, don't read. This will have a better title later but for now this is all I have.

Many of us dream of being doctors, lawyers, pediatricians, or even the president of the United States. We have heroes that we look up to, and role models whose actions become our blueprint as we journey into adulthood. At no time do we dream of being abused, beat into silence, or screamed at for making mistakes that should be learning experiences. The scars on our bodies should be the result of simply being a child, falling and rising to our feet; sometimes shedding tears, and other times smiling while shaking off the pain. For Michael, being a child is nothing of the sort. Marked by scars that hold their own decisions to either spare him a lifetime of mental abuse or torment him each time he looks at them, Michael shares with us his songs of love, fear, and faith. He details how he was born into his mother's sins and robbed of his childhood just shortly after learning right from wrong. Michal painfully walks us through the physical and psychological abuse that nearly claims his mind, body, spirit, and soul during his mother's last eight days here on earth. Michael's Song is certain to touch your heart. Tears are inevitable as your emotions absorb what Michael is forced to feel every day of his young life. You might walk away from his songs full of hurt, pain, and grief. But you will be moved to help change a child's, like Michael's, life. It takes one heart to make a difference. Will it be yours?

They just kept putting me in jail because they see me as a threat. I would've worked with you but you play sucker games and it's bullshit because you do whatever you people like. And then gaslight the common people. you need a dose of your own reality. here's a picture of the things people deal with from the criminal justice system. I was arrested for a "parole violation" my sentence was time served (9months) to 12 months. Followed by a 12 months consecutive probation. I was released at the beginning of March 2025. I got arrested again on March 10th 2025 for absolutely nothing. I had maybe 7 days street time. I maxed my parole part of the sentence in June of 2025. I should have been released. everyone knew this but they refused to listen to me when I informed them. They refused me legal counsel. I was released 1/16/2026. 8 months after my parole sentence ended. Here is where we should really do something because I wrote my Parole agent letters every month since I got there. she refused to respond. Give me and information about my case what was going on or anything She knew I maxed out my sentence because it's her job if she didn't know that she should be fired. but even if she didn't know I reminded her every letter. when I finally got a hearing in January of 2026 my parole officers come in with completely fabricated documents. with made up information. The documents claim that I don't max out my parole until February of 2027. When I told the judge the actual facts he said and I quote. "I'm sure you know the facts of your case but your not lawyer." I didn't have a lawyer because they refused to give me one. I have no money I have to a right to counsel even though their just warm bodies that don't do anything, but that's a story for another day so they continued the hearing for another week. knowing damn well those documents were fake. That I maxed out my parole in June 2025. these facts were established. I go back a week later they released me.
