After the fall of the Republic and the Jedi Purge, a new Empire rises and it seems all hope is lost, all that remains for the remaining Jedi to try their best to survive, until the Rebellion begins and hope persists again. This is the sequel to "The War" and follows the same characters from the first book.

This is a direct sequel to Last Shot - A Star Wars Story. Several months after the Battle of Exegol, the New Republic is making an effort to rebuild, under the leadership of newly elected Chancellor Ersela Kryze, while Kaia Kestis and the Mantis crew continue their search for Crimson Dawn. But when Kelsa Antilles goes missing on a supply mission with Jedi Cora Tonra and reappears with the news that Cora is now a Sith going by the name of Darth Caedaris, whose plans to rebuild the Final Order once again threaten the still-recovering Galaxy. It's once again time for these heroes to rise up to the challenge, and stop Caedaris, before it's too late, and the Galaxy is plunged into war once more. (I do not own Star Wars or any of their characters. I only own my own OCS and storylines.)

The Night Dagger crew are called to Bespin, the system that put Cloud City on the map! Its eleven years since Lando left to be with the Rebellion and he placed Lobot his chief aide to succeed him as Baron administrator! But all is not well! Recently, the city in the clouds has been placed on lockdown and rumours of Android's that have taken over have been heard! Dax Razz receives a distress call from Lobot and the Night Dagger dispatches a team to see what is going on......

Fearing an Imperial manhunt, Beckett must establish a crew and hunt down this traitor before The Empire ultimately finds out about the Dawn's affairs and puts the syndicate's future in jeopardy.
