Delilah's been waiting for years. She's been waiting for the right moment. The right moment to escape from her husbands abusive grasp. She's been planning her great escape for as long as she's been married. It's so planned out, that nothing'll be able to go wrong. This is it. She'll finally be free. -- -- -- -- This is a short story that I wrote for a school assignment. I decided that it would be fun to post it and get critiques. On that note, feel free to leave feedback in the comments. This story was inspired by the picture attatched to the story and cover picture. The only limits were that it had to be 'school appropriate', and fit on a single page in 12p font, single spaced.

I've been deep in a rut. I'm tired of postponing my writing and I just want to finish a story for once. Here's my first draft to a horror. It's not complete. I'm still trying to figure out the planning process of writing. A lot of major plot points of this story hasn't happened yet and are still in my head. It's very incomplete and is supposed to be the first chapter, I'm pretty sure.

When Maggie met Tess, her entire world changed. She had never met someone that made her feel so, well, read to find out. Storms are named after people after all. Maggie never understood why, until Tess sat infront of her on her first day at a new school. Suddenly there was a whirlwind, inside of Maggie, and in the air soon to follow.
