Rylei Willlows is a complicated girl. She is smart, loud mouthed, clever, stubborn, and witty 31 year old with a lot on her mind and not a lot of time to think. Ever since the world went to shit she has been in Tennessee, with her only family that she has all ways had, her older brother Mais and her niece Carly Rae. After almost a year in this hell ridden world she has become immune to the one thing that used to control her; Feelings. She has locked all feeling and emotion away. As the world keeps going will she be able to? All she ever has in her mind anymore is one word in her head and tattooed on her wrist. Survive. Living isn't even questioned anymore when all you can do is survive off of what you can day by day. As she keeps surviving new people come and go, day by day. The only people out of all people she trusts is herself. She does whatever she does to keep and tries to have her group moving. But what happens when things head south and she meets a certain man in the woods?

Following on from the original Daryl's girl, a lot of things have changed in Lily's life. No one knows when or how the world will go back to the way it used to be. It's just a matter of waiting and surviving as long as possible. No one ever thought that killing would be the only option, but to protect the ones you love and care about, it's not just a case of wanting, it's needing to to keep them alive which Lily had come to know. Annaya was found by Landon after 15 days. Upon returning home, she is put under spotlight and the public outcries to know what happened. However, Annaya doesn't remember anything due to memory loss.
