Cross and Killer secretly sneak into King Dream's royal masquerade ball without invitations. They are almost caught by the guards, but Dream and Nightmare intervene and dismiss the guards' suspicions. Instead of punishing them, the two kings reveal that they knew the pair were sneaking around. Killer is even caught holding a stolen pastry, which leads to a humorous moment. Dream decides to allow them to stay as his guests, while Nightmare warns them not to sneak in again. As the ball continues, Cross becomes curious about why the two kings were so willing to protect them-and what might happen when their identities are eventually revealed.

Not much of a summary, but Cross' life is gonna get more exciting after leaving his AU. Sorry if you're here for lemon, but there won't be any intense stuff like that. The Kingdom Beyond the Battlefield Two brothers, King Nightmare and King Dream, rule the powerful kingdom of Eclipsia together. Although the brothers have different personalities, they share one goal: protecting their people. After years of failed negotiations and repeated attacks from an enemy kingdom, they finally have no choice but to declare war. Among the soldiers and supplies traveling toward the battlefield are two ordinary commoners, Cross and Killer. Wanting to escape the dangers of war, the two secretly sneak into a storage carriage without realizing that it belongs to the royal army.
