Seven thousand years of just observing can grow boring, let's be honest. Humanity falls into the same pattern of going to war with one another as the centuries past, the Eternals forbidden from interfering unless Deviants were involved.
Diana, the Lunar Eternal, finds herself settling down in London, England, long after Ajak had given her speech that the Eternals should go their separate ways and live their own lives. She adjusts to the decades as they come and go, slowly losing contact with her fellow Eternals as time passes.
In the present year, Diana works as a tour guide at the National Gallery, occasionally catching up with Sersi ---who has also settled down in London, and works on befriending the cute guy in the gift shop of her place of work.
Seven thousand years of experience should be enough to keep up with Steven Grant and everything he ends up bringing into her life...right?
And once the System accepts themselves, can they keep up with the Eternal in return?
