And so she is to leave her homeland and family behind and travel to the far away kingdom of Jerusalem, only her brother and her hand maid by her side, to marry Jerusalem's king. Baudouin IV. Baudouin IV, the young king of Jerusalem, to many known as 'the Leper King'. He never thought about marriage, given his condition, but as the tension in his court grows and the pressure for a successor gets more, his advisor and former teacher William of Tyre suggest to give marriage a second thought. So Baudouin sends out word in an last act of desperation. And Emperor Friedrich I. Barbarossa sees a chance for a stronger alliance and influence in the Holy Land and demands his cousin's oldest daughter to become queen of Jerusalem. So at only eighteen she has to adjust to a new land, new culture and to be seperated from her family. But will Lady Judinta be able to love a leper like she is supposed to love her husband? Not to forget the political tensions and threats, in court as well as right infront of the kingdoms borders.

It's the month of January, of the year 1099 AD. The city of Antioch has been taken and now the Latin crusaders march south to their final goal, Jerusalem. One such knight who has taken up the sword is Sir John of Caen. However, just as he is preparing to march south with the rest of the army, he receives a strange message. The message informs Sir John that he is to relieve a Byzantine force that is currently trying to take a Seljuk fortress somewhere in the Nur Mountains. Knowing that the only passage to it is the Belen Pass, Sir John and his men set out. Everything seems to be going well until snow falls and soon turns into a seemingly supernatural blizzard. The Latin soon manage to find shelter in a nearby cavern to wait it out. After emerging, they find themselves in a strange land. They come to learn that it is a kingdom called Rohan. Despite their king granting them sanctuary, it is clear that a war is brewing. Servants of evil are amassing in the south, while centuries of hatred with the HillTribesman of Dunland threatens to boil over. With winter approaching, Sir John and his men will have to take up arms to decide the fate of a kingdom, its people and find a way home before it's too late.

What if you wake up one morning and you find yourself in the court of King Balduin IV, the Leper King? Note: The story is based more on the film Kingdom of Heaven (2005) than the real history, however it does not follow the filmscript completely and in some cases I used the historical facts, found in Bernard Hamilton's book about King Balduin IV (The Leper King and his heirs, 2005). Furthermore, some events and scenes were created by my fantasy only. I hope you will enjoy my story!

They knew the Creator. They sang to the stars, guarded their world with living harmonies, and believed every form of life reflected the Divine. Then humanity arrived. Forged by endless wars and armed with mastery over the universe's fundamental forces, humans claim something unthinkable: they alone are made in God's image. Bearing ancient symbols the aliens once worshipped as metaphor, they offer not extinction-but submission. A very inaccurate retelling of the first crusade meant for enjoyment rather than historical truth. I made this in earky 2024, so forgive it's faults.

A collection of Y/N-centered oneshots based on Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven (2005). Unlike my other work in this same genre, any historical figures present in these fics are 90% the way they appear in this film, instead of an even mix of historical and fiction. As such, they are definitely more fantasy than reality and are intended to be read as such. Previously posted on my Tumblr.

But while I am religious and all three main Abrahamic religions are part of my faith (in a sense I am ecumenical with all 3) I am therefore non-denominational so I don't practice Islam or the others in complete adherence to all tenets and rituals. So as a writer with passion for certain eras and historical figures, I take liberty in writing stories about them, with no intention to offend these people or anyone else, and I can't promise every little detail will be accurate or always halal (maybe sometimes there is haram intentionally because of certain characters personalities). Baldwin IV, called the Leper, was King of Jerusalem in the medieval age of the 12th century. He start his reign in 1174 at a young age. King Baldwin IV won his first battle at the age of 16 against the infamous Sultan Salah ad-Din of the Ayyubid Dynasty. He is admired for his willpower and dedication to the Latin Kingdom despite suffering leprosy, which forced him to wear masks and bandages. He is eventually becomes blind and unable to use his hands or his feet. He then died in 1185, with no cure for Leprosy. Y/N L/N is a teenage girl who lives in the 21st century and found herself in Jerusalem 900 years back in time at the age of the Crusades. As she can't get back to her time, she learns how to survive in the 12th century.
