Jaime Kelly, also known as "Books", is the leader of the Lower Manhattan Newsies. She loves her Newsies like they're her family. Every 8 Days she goes to see her best friend, Spot, the "King of Brooklyn". Everything seems to be going pretty normal until one day when she and her brother, Jack, start a strike against "The World". But what happens when memories of her past starts to resurface? And what happens when she makes a bet with " King Idiot" that in 8 days he could get her to say 8 letters? Note: ALL CHARACTERS MENTIONED IN THE 1992 FILM BELONG TO DISNEY. A Modern AU in which Jack Kelly lives with at least twenty other foster kids. Every single day is difficult for the kids as they avoid the authorities and try to stay out of trouble. Until a murder happens, and one of Jack's boys is the prime suspect. Jack, the usually optimistic dreamer, sees no way out. Until he meets this cute girl at work and suddenly things start looking up. Will Jack and his friends, new and old, be able to clear the suspect's name before it is too late or will they be separated forever? I don't own the Newsies from either the original movie or the Broadway. I don't own my title technically since it is a lyric from Santa Fe in the Broadway. I know the summary is not that great, but at least take a peek.

For the most part it seems like this will just be a fluffy adventure of him and Spot. Until...new things happen. Turns out 1899 was not the last time they need to deal with Them. But this time, Race faces even more trials.

It's December 31, 1899. It's been an interesting year. What they didn't expect is that at midnight, they would be scattered across time. Some stayed in January 1, 1900, and will never see these people again. Boots and Crutchy end up in January 1, 2024. Will they be able to find their friends? Will they be able to survive this strange world? I DON'T OWN ANY OF THESE CHARACTERS. THEY BELONG TO DISNEY. THE STORY ALONE IS MINE.
