America dodges question after question on whether he's fine or not but that seems to be raising suspicion. Will he be able to fix these problems or will his family and friends be blacked out forever....

Everyone knows that okay is just a word that means you feel like you want to die, but you're stuck in forced human interaction. Okay is the second shittiest word in the English language." "What's the shittiest word?" "Suicide. Makes it sound like it's a legal transaction between you and yourself, when all that happens is you try to die. They should call it attempted death or something. Suicide is a bullshit word the people use when they want to sound formal. The fact of the matter is that offing oneself is never formal. There are no rules to follow; you just have to try to make yourself die. Suicide is like a pickled herring, making its way down your throat with all the reluctance in the world and leaving a shitty aftertaste in your mouth." After an "attempt to die", Renée has to deal with the old and the new, leaving her wishing that she was dead and wishing she was alive all at the same time.

Albany, New York, 2018 October 19, 2018 Well, it's been around half-a-year since patient 0. In all honesty, I think this world is a lost hope already. Maybe that sounds like I'm losing my faith, but I assure I'm not. Still, I can't help but think this is Karma for the pure hell humans have caused. Yet, the one's suffering the most are the ones who did nothing wrong. Isn't that funny how that all works? People are losing their morals and very humanity, and it's sick to see. I can understand the looting and killing the Infected, but I believe people are using the apocalypse to show their evils. Children left for dead and regular humans getting killed for territory. What territory? We've already lost. Some of these people are so sick and depraved I won't even write it here. But may God do as He'll please with their souls. Amari keeps clawing at the basement door. I will save my daughter if it kills me, for this is my fault.
