      Bab 1

Bruno has a knack. Or maybe it's a theory. In Havana, between university textbooks and the live music at La Fé, he's perfected a particular way of connecting with women. It's not magic-it's pure attention. He knows how to listen, how to observe, and, above all, how to craft a moment so real it becomes irresistible. He considers himself an advanced student in the art of attraction, and so far, his track record is flawless. His life has a perfect rhythm: quiet focus during the week, adventure on weekend nights. Everything under control. Everything flows. Until he meets Marla. Marla doesn't read beauty magazines. She doesn't follow patterns. She's a saxophonist who listens more with her hands than her ears, and she has a smile that disarms any preconceived theory. With her, his calculated lines sound like a script. His perfectly timed silences feel like emptiness. For the first time, Bruno feels like he's speaking a language she has no need to learn. What do you do when your best trick doesn't work... and you find you don't want to try another? This is the story of a guy who thought he understood how connections were made, until one arrived without an instruction manual. It's about the awkward joy of being wrong, the dizzying thrill of letting go of control, and the quiet suspicion that maybe real chemistry isn't studied in books-it's lived in the small, glorious, and absurd details. A novel about finding yourself while getting lost. About Havana, its rhythms and its secrets. And about the day the city's smoothest charmer realized the most interesting person to win over...was the version of himself he hadn't met yet.

A new beginning. A new dawn. A new chance. That's what Cuba thinks as suddenly, a new government emerges victorious from revolution and takes control over his country. After years of living in a dictatorship established by America, where Cuba himself controlled little to nothing of the economy, Cuba decides to take action for himself. Standing alone in a battlefield completely turned against him, Cuba finds an unusual ally in the Soviet Union. But as he leans towards his new friend, Cuba slowly pushes those who cared about him further and further away. As time goes on, Cuba will realize that his actions have grave consequences- enough to quite literally bring an end to life as we know it. Where there is no beginning, no dawn, and no second chances. Only the regret and guilt of not having anybody to share your last moments with. As you stare up at the sky where your impending doom is heading right towards you. _______________ TW: A lot of cussing Blood/Gore Violence The Soviet Union Politics (mostly just the characters arguing about capitalism and communism) Angst/depressive themes Uh yeah here's an angsty fanfic about cuba and the cuban missile crisis because why not. That's about it so enjoy, I'll try to update this weekly.
