DISCLAIMER: If you haven't played/watched someone play Just Shapes and Beats, do not read this story. This fanfic is also based off Cube x Blixer so if you don't like the ship thats TOO BAD ___________________________ Long ago, 4 shapes were chosen by the Tree of Life to protect and raise a being made from the tree's pure power. These beings would go on to be called "Heroes", and the shapes that raised them "Caretakers". The Heroes and Caretakers were soul-bound once the Caretaker received their Hero. For when a Caretaker dies, the Hero will also slowly cease to be. The receiving of Heroes carried on from generations of the same line once they came of age. Father to son, son to daughter, and so forth. Heroes and Caretakers alike were powerful in their own ways, but when they all came together, there was nothing that could stop them. The Heroes' and Caretakers' work became more difficult over the generations, causing them to split up and work apart from each other. Some Caretakers even grew to hate each other. Soon, they all were distant. Not even looking at each other after the ceremony. Unfortunately, their hatred for each other was a benefit for a monstrous threat prepared for them. ___________________________ Cube, an overly cautious yet strong shape isn't prepared to take on such a big responsibility like her father once did. She goes to the caverns in search of peace and meets a friendly shape named Blixer. After that, they spend all their time together, even though Blixer can't leave his cave. After the ceremony for the new Caretakers, Cube visits Blixer and introduces him to her new Hero, Dash. I have a strange feeling that this...
