I am Emily Farraday and this is a story about five friends who grew up together in the same neighborhood and realize that growing up together made them feel more of a family but at the same time, go from being best of friends to complete strangers.

Senior year has come and gone for seventeen-year-old Stephanie Coleman. Now, in her final summer before college, she's returning home to the sleepy town of Linden, Arizona. She left a lot behind, a loving family, her graduation, and her five best friends. After one school-year away, she wasn't expecting much of anything to happen in her absence, maybe a new haircut, a new pet, possibly a new hobby they took up. But a lot can happen in one year. Now, Steph is forced to pick up the broken pieces of the past she left behind, all before her friends sweep them under a rug. But can she face what the present has to offer? * * * Trigger Warning (and possibly minor spoilers because it'll mention tiny bits of the plot) This story will involve discussions surrounding mental illness, self-harm, substance abuse, and suicide.
