Zulaiha Abdallah is a final-year medical student at Nile University, Abuja, living with a past the world refuses to let go. She once loved the wrong man-an abusive relationship kept hidden from everyone. One night, while trying to protect herself, he died. The court ruled it self-defence, but society passed its own judgement. Cleared by law, yet condemned by people, Zulaiha is forced to live with labels such as "A woman who lost her virginity before marriage" whispers, and the stigma of not fitting into society's idea of a "pure" woman. During a visit home for Eid in Kano, her life takes another turn when she is pushed into an arranged marriage meant to settle debts and repair damaged reputations-not to bring love or healing. Her soon-to-be husband, Umar Al Muqtadir, is a respected and successful man with a past as dark as hers. Years ago, an affair led to a child he never got to raise, his lover commited sucide, and a promise he made to never forget her and to find his child. Two broken souls. One forced marriage. Secrets buried deep. As the truth about the past begins to surface- What happens when Umar finds out his child was killed by his girlfriend- about death, guilt, and a child lost "Who was this girlfriend?" -Zulaiha must face the question that has followed her all her life: Is this marriage her punishment... or her only chance at survival?

"This marriage is to fulfill my responsibility to my mother. Nothing more." Sofia didn't interrupt. She just watched him. "You will not lack anything," Malik continued, voice calm, controlled. "But I don't do emotional conversations. I prefer my space." A pause. Then, quieter "Do not expect love from me." When Sofia Bello returns to Nigeria to reconnect with her roots and take on a life-changing architecture contract, the last thing she expects is an arranged marriage to a man who has already decided she will never have his heart. Lieutenant Colonel Malik Danjuma is disciplined, distant, and completely closed off until the woman he married out of duty begins to slip past every rule he set. Because Sofia is not the kind of woman who stays at a distance. And Malik is not prepared for what happens when the one person he tries to keep out... becomes the only one he can't stay away from. A modern Arewa romance about duty, healing, family, and the kind of love that quietly breaks through even the strongest walls.

he was forced into an arranged marriage by his family. 8 months into the marriage, there was not a single word spoken between husband and wife. no love. no fight. just pure silence. but what happens when silence slowly starts feelings...different? Small note: hey, i'm writing about my own arranged marriage from a some year back(2016-17 ). i don't really know how to write it in a in a polished way, so i'm just writing it exactly the way i remember it.... casual, a bit messy like a personal diary. since i'm from nepal, there might be a few minor mistakes in some hindi phrases or in my english as well.

Istanbul, 1820 The scent of jasmine and spices lingered in the warm night air as the Bosphorus reflected the silver glow of the moon. Beyond the palaces and grand mansions, beneath the domes and minarets, the city hummed with life-merchants haggling in the markets, the calls to prayer echoing in the distance, the laughter of noblemen and diplomats filling opulent halls. In one such mansion, illuminated by the golden glow of hundreds of candles, music and conversation swirled through the air. Tonight was a night of politics and diplomacy, of whispered alliances and careful smiles. And yet, among all the powerful men gathered, among all the veiled women moving like delicate shadows through the halls- Two lives were about to collide. Two people who, by every rule of their worlds, should have never met. And yet, destiny had already begun weaving their fates together. Disclaimer This is a work of fiction. Just as Harper had begun to imagine a quiet life with Yanpu-a life of warmth, safety, and the simple joy of waking up without fear-fate demanded something else. She had only just started to feel the comfort of belonging, the fragile threads of trust weaving between herself and those she had let into her heart. But the world rarely waits for peace to take root. The idea of traveling across the planet had never crossed her mind. To step foot in enemy territory, with a child clinging to her side and an outlaw shadowing her steps, felt almost like stepping into a nightmare. And yet, there was no time left to hesitate. Hyde, the ex-serviceman with a wounded past, was running out of time. The cure for his condition lay in the hands of the Queen of Krahagh-an opposing nation whose name alone stirred distrust and fear. Yanpu's rare abilities were the key, and Harper knew that leaving was the only choice. But the road ahead was more than a journey across hostile lands-it was a test of everything they had begun to build together. Bonds would be stretched, tested, and perhaps even broken. Friendships would be forged in the crucible of shared danger, and loyalties would be challenged by the weight of sacrifice. What trials will they face on the path to Krahagh's capital? And when the dust settles, will the ties between them be strong enough to endure the cost of survival?
