The Cathedral is the unholy ground of the Clergy. Every few years, when the next Emeritus boy took over the seat as the Papa, they would descend the thousands of steps of the Cathedral and enter the catacombs. It was the fact they loved it that made them sad. They knew the dream would end eventually. The friends were undeserved but the party's were so fun. Why couldn't they just enjoy whatever unearthly reality they had escaped into of their own. This was all bullshit. After decades of torture and abuse from Nihil, he had changed into a completely different ghoul. He was essentially a bootlicker. He was mostly neglected by Nihil. He would do anything and everything to get attention from the old man. That meant ratting out ghouls for the smallest rule breaks.
