"We will await for clarity over T20 World Cup from ICC before discussing anything further. But I can tell that as of now no decision has been taken." Earlier, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly had said that they would like to host the 2020 Indian Premier League but he also added that nothing has been decided so far. The IPL 2020 earlier scheduled to take place from March 29. Later it was postponed till April 15 owing to the coronavirus outbreak in the country. Moreover, several guidelines have been imposed on the citizen to fight against the global pandemic. Since the situation is still the same and the numbers are increasing of affected persons, the league has been suspended for the time being. Although the lockdown is going to relax soon, hopes are there that the BCCI will host the tournament this year as well.
