A short story I wrote super late in the evening

one kind act starts Henry and Lucy down a path neither of them expected. Henry tries to avoid talking to people because he's never been good at making friends. Lucy is a rich girl who doesn't understand why someone would be nice just to be nice. But one cup of coffee is enough to start everything between them. Unfortunately life has a way of screwing people over, in Henry's case quite literally as Lucy ends up pregnant and then he gets raped by someone named Amelia who also ends up pregnant. For Henry and Lucy, there is no such thing as a Hollywood ending, but at least they have each other as they try to figure out how to deal with everything life has puts them through. Even if it means raising children and navigating situations that can feel like the end of the world sometimes.

He struck you by surprise. All you knew about him was... 1. He was gorgeous, that's for sure. 2. You found his arrogance annoying but completely adorable at the same time. 3. He always knew how to make you laugh. 4. He had a smile that could wipe away even the biggest of problems. 5. He had a way with words that could make you melt. 6. A single touch could set you through the roof. 7. You've just met but you know he's special. 8. You soon realize you can't live without him. You've never been big on surprises, but you wouldn't trade this one for anything.

It's really hard to let go of the past especially if happened to you... but one needs to heal oneself to feel peace. again .

Percy Jackson didn't have many costumers today. Which wasn't really surprising, considering the fact that it was a small coffee shop in lower Manhattan. Most people went to Starbucks or somewhere more popular. But not Will Solace. It was Spring Break and Will was visiting his dad, who just happened to live in Manhattan where he worked as a trauma surgeon. Will went to Med School, where he was following his father's footsteps in becoming a doctor. Will didn't have much to do, but when he was walking downtown and saw the old coffee shop he used to go to as a kid, he simply couldn't resist.
