Kedence lives in a world that is not fixed reality, but a written existence shaped by readers, interpretation, and an unseen Editor.
At first, she believes she is simply trapped in a strange life inside a tower, a lake, and shifting environments. But she soon discovers that everything around her changes depending on how she is seen and understood.
As readers disagree, her reality fractures into multiple versions. People like Ren and Kevin begin to split, shift, or disappear depending on interpretation.
Then a deeper force appears who rewrites the story to "protect" her by removing unstable versions of reality.
But control collapses when even editing stops working.
A new presence emerges which is the Gap- something that exists before language, meaning, or definition itself. It cannot be corrected, read, or controlled.
As the story breaks down into uncertainty, Kedence is forced to face a final question:
whether she should remain something that is written... or become something that cannot be defined at all.
