In a realm where elemental magic defines power, Lord Drekki, a proud True Born Dragon lord of the volcanic peaks, valued only two things: raw, devastating fire and the weight of his golden hoard. His arrogance led him to mock an ancient water dragon elder seeking shelter, dismissing the elder's offering of an enchanted deep-sea stone. In return, the elder pulled a suffocating veil of frozen vapor over Drekki's mountain, cursing him to live in self-imposed exile and, more devastatingly, to misunderstand people-seeing only monsters, thieves, and enemies until he learns to value a soul above brute force.
Centuries later, Freya, a royal water dragon, flees the annihilation of her house by ruthless factions. To protect her newborn daughter, Ingrid, from the high dragon lords who would eliminate a rival sovereign, Freya uses an ancient elixir and a profound act of theater to hide in plain sight. Playing the part of an eccentric, scattered blacksmith in the coastal port town of Lindormor, Freya raises Ingrid to believe the lie that she is just a common, dull hybrid, her true form hidden beneath a layer of flat, gray scales.
As twenty years pass, Freya realizes that the heavy elixir's suppression power is dangerously fading, and Ingrid's vibrant, royal water aura is beginning to fracture its blocks. To brew a permanent solution, Freya risks everything by venturing high into the treacherous, mist-shrouded volcanic cliffs above the town. Her goal is twofold: to harvest rare glacial-ash moss from the geothermal vents, and to secure the Ocean's Tear-a sacred, ocean-blue obsidian stone hidden within the dragon lord's domain that serves as the ultimate catalyst to permanently lock away a royal aura.
