Avela, a gifted water biology student with a rare sensitivity to unfiltered resonance, has always felt out of sync. Her daily life is precise and composed, like everyone else in the mid-frequency band-but she's haunted by what she's lost. Each year during the mandatory Frequency Calibration, she chooses, like most, to erase memories of anyone from lower bands-people now rendered invisible to her senses. But fragments remain: a rhythmic wave pattern pulsing through the mirror. The trace of a father she shouldn't remember. When Avela stumbles upon a forbidden Earth chemistry book-filled with ancient concepts like "sound," "food," and "rainbows"-her world begins to warp. The book speaks of light and water not as technology, but as nature. It hints at a time before the mirrors. Before the Annunaki. Before the illusion. As she begins experimenting with old-world speech and stumbles into glitching screens, she meets Imra, a rogue smuggler from the low bands who whispers where no one should whisper. Avela is drawn into a hidden resistance determined to expose the truth behind the Annunaki control grid-a civilization-sized hall of mirrors designed to fracture human consciousness by frequency. But the cost of truth is steep. Her official match, Sael, begins reporting anomalies. Her body begins rejecting the system's frequency feeds. And those in the high bands-once untouchable, invisible-are watching her too closely. To reclaim her memories, her voice, and the reality buried beneath programmed refraction, Avela must descend-physically, emotionally, and spiritually-into the distorted layers of CSMO. What she finds there could either fracture the illusion for everyone... or lock it in place forever.

London, in the year 2100. A divided world. Alex is a Skyborn, raised in luxury the glass towers of the citadel by her scientist father. Con is a pickpocket from Trashtown. Their lives collide when Alex's father stumbles on a deadly conspiracy and has to flee for his life. Together they must find a way to outwit the deadly assassins of the Aries Corporation, save Alex's father and the whole human race. Take a trip though the rusting junk of our civilisation, in the days After the Flood. Follow the shadow paths. Dive into the mythic space beneath the data matrix. Meet Halloween Jack, fire breathing spiders, a super intelligent talking cat, mechanical bees and a Ferrari velociraptor. New chapters will be added weekly. NB The first draft of this book was written in 2018. Any similarity (however uncanny) to current events is entirely coincidental (seriously). One of the subplots of Ghostcode revolves around a global pandemic. If you don't want to read about that sort of stuff then this might not be the story for you. In light of the events of 2020 I seriously thought about editing this thread of the story out but, in the end, I decided that it would detract from the book. It is strange how art can predict reality. It happens far more often than it should do by the laws of chance alone. Try reading Ender's Game (Orson Scott Carr), written in the 1970s, which predicts the shape of the internet and modern social media with amazing accuracy. Watching the TV series Black Mirror I have several times wondered if Charlie Brooker had access to a time machine. (He did - it's called "Imagination") This book was not conceived as fan fiction, but... If you can spot all the references to a certain rock star you get extra points.

Veiss is the heir to a cult hacker group despite not being a believer himself. He eagerly awaits the day he can take his rightful place on the throne. (Perhaps too eagerly to wait.) What seemed like another simple undercover assignment to root out dirty cops, takes Grieselda into the darkest pits of Gau City's corruption. Ray Dawn leads his cybercrime unit on a relentless chase against a notorious hacker but his motives for catching the outlaw aren't as pure as he would have his colleagues believe. The Collective are a simple entity. They want freedom. They want vengeance. And they'll risk any amount of their members for just one of them to attain their goals because they are many in one and one in many. Follow our "heroes" as their lives intertwine and they clash as each pursues their own goals. But most of all, observe how each perceives the dystopian world within their own biases.

Prologue In 2047, Dineth Globals, a multi-trillion-dollar entertainment and technology behemoth, introduced the world to its crowning achievement: the Interworld Net Space (I.Ns). This revolutionary virtual reality realm blurred the lines between reality and the virtual, promising a groundbreaking entertainment experience. Crafted from the mind of Dineth Global's founder, Harashi Fuchiguro, the source code of the Interworld Net Space was a technological marvel set to redefine every facet of life. Launched on June 17, 2047, over 2.5 billion users eagerly plugged their consciousness into this unprecedented virtual expanse. Yet, disaster struck. The Interworld Net Space crashed, simultaneously crippling the world's internet and the consciousness of its plugged-in users. This catastrophic event triggered a cascade of disasters, including nuclear and natural calamities. The rupture of reality itself consumed half of Japan, turning it into ground zero for the cataclysm. Nations crumbled, wiping out two-thirds of the global population. However, the nightmare didn't end there. The virtual realm unleashed shells-monstrous remnants of those lost to the source program-further driving humanity to seek refuge within walled districts worldwide. In the midst of despair, seven years after the cataclysmic event, Dineth Globals made a startling announcement: the reopening of the Interworld Net Space. As hope flickered back to life, the world braced for a new chapter in its battle for survival.
