A tale about two lost souls just searching for comfort amidst the harsh reality; that love isn't what you always think it is.

"Carpe diem, Izzy." That's what I always told myself. I had to seize every opportunity that came my way, because I had no idea if that could be the door that lead to the great future I envisioned for myself. I'm so stupid not to have followed my own advice.

Callie does not want to see Lukas Hemson again. Ever. He humiliated her when she was seventeen and, three years later, absence has not made her heart grow any fonder. In fact, she's gone out of her way to avoid any situation in which he might be present. It's been pretty easy so far, mostly because her mother informed her that Lukas moved to another city for college and stayed there to work after his graduation. Actually, it's pretty much guaranteed that she'll never run into him again. Or so she tells herself. Of course, Lukas comes back. Why wouldn't he? It's CLEARLY too much to ask for Callie to have a halfway decent existence after the way he blatantly humiliated her when she was in high school. Lukas Hemson is scum, and she doesn't want anything to do with him. Which is probably why he shows up at her cousin's wedding. How much of an asshole do you have to be to ambush someone at a wedding?! Callie has a few choices. 1) Move to Antarctica (She'd make it work.) 2) Pretend that Lukas Hemson is entirely invisible (Like air. Or the plague.) 3) Beat him at his own game. Ever since Lukas' deliberate (and successful) attempt to embarrass her in front of everyone she knew, Callie's become excellent at holding grudges. She almost feels a bit sorry for Luke. ...almost.

this isn't a love story, okay? i mean, i fell in love with her, but it's not about that. well, it is, in a way; it's about our wild and torrid affair. but that's not the point. this is a story about her. i'm telling her story because no one else will. and i fell in love with her. so deal with it. this isn't a love story. it's a story about a girl, who i just happened to love.

Love is patient, Love is kind... Vows you hear during a wedding, a celebration of love, but I highly doubt I'll ever find myself saying those words. Emery is a cynic when it comes to love, she has heard the love story of her mum and dad and she doubts that any type of love will live up to their story. But, of course, that is all about to change, because you wouldn't be reading this story if it didn't.

I guess I'm fairly normal. Maybe. A story of ramblings, rantings and otherwise typical teenage behavior.

I'm a college student studying something i always thought as a child, was something only boring and old, and gifted people do. Yes, you're right. I'm studying that. Engineering, to be precise. On top of it, my all consuming mind and thoughts make it difficult to navigate this academic field where i struggle to juggle my side interests(which somedays feel like my main interests) and my career(or lack thereof!). It's like having two identities with no absolutely no overlap. Like none. These are two major problems but as you can guess, they are not all of them as I am a woman(I am not generalizing here!) and a person. This year(which is my senior year) feels especially significant, turbulent and slower than usual like those seconds before a time bomb is about to go off. So come along with me before it does, or doesn't because i honestly don't know.

I, Bonnie Ann Clyde, am glad that Logan Jace Richards left. My Spongebob panties were none of his business when we were nine. Eight years later and it still isn't his business. Now, he's back and he's making it his business. It was unexpected. I never thought he would come back. You know what they say. Expect the unexpected. What else could be worse than that? Oh, right. Falling in love with the one man you truly hate. That is unexpected.
