A girl named Ava, has CF. CF is a disease that will hit mostly young kids or teenagers or people who were born with it. But she pretty much has a second home and that is the hospital. While she was in the hospital, a boy with bright ocean blue eyes and a gap in his teeth, walked by. They made eye to eye contact but he kept on walking by. He was heading to go see his best friend jack in the hospital all because of a stupid skate board accident. Cystic Fibrosis (SIS-tik fi-BRO-sus) or also known as CF for short. Ill be using CF a lot than the actual words Here's the Meaning: is a disease that causes the body to make thick, sticky mucus. Healthy lungs produce mucus, which protects the airways and makes it easier to breathe. But for a person with CF, the mucus is thick and sticky and can clog up the lungs. Here's a better way: is a genetic disease, meaning it is caused by a person's genes. It affects the glands that produce mucus and sweat, causing mucus to become thick and sticky. As the mucus builds up, it can block airways in the lungs. This makes it increasingly difficult to breathe
