The city of a hundred spires. The most beautiful city in the world. It's Prague. It's 1942. Czechoslovakia has been broken, divided and occupied. It's people, have not even been given the dignity of being pawns. No, they are merely slaves, to be used, abused as per the whim of the Nazi war machine. But deep down, hidden away from the predator that is the Nazi Gerrman, the people are relentlessly working to free themselves. This is the story of one such group. This is the story of how they discover 'the other' in each one of them. This is the story of how often they find the description of friend and enemy changing. This is also the story of how each one of them learns to accept 'the other' within others and their own selves!

Svetlana Capek, a young Jewish woman native of Czechoslovakia, works as a primary school teacher in Paris. She suffers from a rare disease, which prevents her from feeling any kind of physical or moral pain, or even strong emotions, such as fear and love. When the Germans occupy France and the Vichy government votes anti-Semitic laws, she does not feel the terror and therefore, does not protect herself. When her husband makes a terrible mistake, they both are denounced and deported to Drancy, then to the concentration and extermination camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau. In such troubles, her inability to feel pain or hunger becomes a strength. For how long?

Johannes Noväk is a foreign pilot for Britain's Royal Air Force, desperately trying to resist the Führer's terrible reign over his homeland. When his plane is shot down and his companions captured by the Nazis, he finds himself fleeing across Germany in a frantic attempt at survival. If he can cross the Channel, he'll make it back to safety and his sweetheart. If he can't, it will mean certain death.

The roaring twenties were a thrilling time for the thriving new country of Czechoslovakia, but behind all the glitz, glam and fringe, something darker lurks in the back room of the Shop&Save.

One of the reasons WW2 spiked was because the British and French stayed neutral while Germany, ruled by Adolf Hitler, broke the Treaty of Versailles, took Austria and Czechoslovakia, created an air force, expanded its army, and re-militarized the Rhineland. ma007rio, an internet personality, is active on Reddit, YouTube, and Scratch.
