Thanks to resident-nickname-collector on Tumblr for the idea! :D Based on the song Tam Lin by the Forgetmenauts ~~ Avery tightened his grip again, as if defying even that unseen gaze. If this was the test, then he would endure it. No matter what it cost. ~~ (First time writing a fanfic, please be mindful of that!)

Avery had known Derek since they were kids. That didn't mean that he knew how to word this. He's known he loved Derek as more than a friend since they were little twerps without any such worries they now do going through college. He's loved Derek since long before he had a word for it. So he also knows that most ways he could try to verbally express this will end in Derek assuming that it's too good to be true and that he's doing everything out of pity. So instead of saying it outright, the solution has to be taking him on a few dates, Derek isn't that clueless, right? (Aka I wanted a 5+1, but I can't go shorter than 8 chapters XD)

Avery didn't think he was and he was doing goop's best to see if he can find D3rlord3 again. Avery is in college and gets a new roommate. Knight seems familiar slightly but also not at the same time. - Headcanons stated better in the first part of this but just know this is Slimeknight (Avery x D3rlord3) and Avery is transgender masculine (ftm) in this!! Afab Avery, amab Derek. Avery and D3rlord3 is also neopronoun users in this. - If you don't like anything that may be in this fanfiction, please just not click. When Avery finds out that D3rlord3, Derek, goes to the same college as him, he remembers all that Derek did for him and rushes to go and try to return the favor and keep his life from ending. ANGST WITH SLIGHT? GORE + FLUFF. After the hospital, their relationship begins to bloom and they learn more about each other than they ever expected to.

D3rlord had just left the mines, yet his interact with the king still plague his mind.  He's smart, yes. But not enough. Rewinding on everything.

(In this AU, everything is post-DAWTDE, with the sole exception that Derek/D3rlord3 survived, and had found ways to manage the sheer intensity of all knowledge (with therapy and stuff like that idk)) I love slimeknight (i amde the cover do you guys like :^))

there are three hours left at Midnight, D3rlord3 knows that he's running out of time and that the king as gotten closer than expected to Avery and his mind, Forcing himself to take his eyes off the screen he began searching for Avery to prevent him becoming the King's vessel in the real world.
