tacenda is a collection of short stories and poems from throughout my (the author's) life. the book is named "tacenda" because for most of my life i felt misunderstood, and felt unheard, that things were better left as tacenda, or left unsaid. but instead i turned them into poems. all rights reserved. lowercase intended. formerly known as "you're on your own, kid."

I get home from school setting my bag down and plopping onto my soft bed. My mom was gone at work so I had the house to myself. I didn't sleep the previous night, too scared that something would happen. Then I saw him. Well, not him exactly but his eyes....... "This cannot be happening" I try to tell myself in my head as I shut my eyes tightly but when I open them I'm standing at a beautiful waterfall in the menacing darkness

Poem collection of things I wrote in my notes app

Huang Hui's last memory was his brother, Longwei sacrificing him to a swarm of demons. Suddenly he wakes up from the horrible dream that seems as it lasted for 3 years. As he awakes as a 13 year old boy again, he spends time with his family and began to become grateful for the time spent. Even though Hui hates his father, he continued to love his brother and mother. But as time progresses, Hui realizes that the dream he had dreamt 3 weeks ago, was not a dream, but what he actually lived through. And that he was in the past, and he must survive the storms of demons. In doing so, he also loses trust in his brother, due to his knowing of the future. The bond between brothers was broken and Hui continues his life with revenge, vengeance for his mother, and an undying spirit to get stronger. Disclaimer: This story takes place in a world where both ancient culture, and modern culture exist. And I'm sorry If I get any Chinese history wrong! I am still learning and was very fascinated with the ancient architecture, and fashion of ancient China. I think that it's very beautiful and just had to include this in the story! If I had any facts wrong in this story please, please, please correct me (But nicely, I beg of you! T-T) Don't mind the bad grammar :D and spelling mistakes. I'll probably get lazy while writing this so excuse my laziness in maybe future chapters. Anyways don't be mean, be nice, and respect each other :D (The energy core is called/ is different, I intended that)

Dedicated and organized. Those are the words Luke would use to describe his life at the moment. Fickle and...amorphous. Those are the words Rainey would use to describe herself on the other hand. Different but the same in that they both have their own issues. And somehow -- despite each other -- the two drift into each other's orbits making changes neither of them thought was possible and they find themselves in love.
