"Onii-chan, I'm sorry. I promised I would stay with you 'til you set sail but..." His twin sister looked at luffy in pain, tears in her eyes. Luffy smiled at her tenderly and ran his fingers through her red hair. "None of that. Don't say sorry. It's not your fault. What's more important is for you to be okay." He whispered while brushing the tears that streamed down on her cheek. In the other world, luffy grew up alone before he met Shanks, Ace and Sabo. However, in this world, Luffy was blessed enough to grow up with his younger twin sister. How much would it change the trajectory of Luffy's life with her in it? One thing for sure, he will have one more person that he will cherish and protect with his life. Disclaimer: One piece belongs to Oda. This is an AU that will only impact his childhood but not much in his pirate life. This story has many inspirations, especially pertaining to the stories of Shanks being the "Dad who steps up for Luffy." I adore such story, and I am kind of obsessed with it. Though, there is not much story focused on that relationship. Shoutout to @Islenthatur (they are from AO3, by the way), they are one of my huge inspiration for writing this story. Some of the ideas, like Ocean Blessed and Luffy taking Benn's last name, would be incorporated into the story. It's such a wholesome idea, honestly.
