So for my OG readers, it's the same premise as the original Forgiveness, it's been 3 years since the war with the Berserkers and Dagur suddenly escapes Outcast prison to seek his revenge against Hiccup for keeping you - the reader - from him. I hope you all enjoy!

You are hiccup's sister (don't questions me everyone does this!). You grew up surviving dragon attack after dragon attack, surviving the attack of the red death and your brother nearly dying and bonding with a changewing who you called Abscon and becoming a dragon rider. Your life seemed to be looking up! Until someone turned up. Snotlout and the twins admired him, whilst you and hiccup feared him, and guess what! You're betrothed to Dagur the deranged. And he's in LOVE with you. httyd belongs to Cressida Cowell and the tv/netflix series belongs to Dreamworks

Take two characters that seem to have nothing in common. For example, take a beefy bad boy redhead that hated dragons for most of his life, that doesn't show his emotions to most people and that has a slight- just a slight obsession with weapons or just deadly things in general. Next, take a slim, nerdy, brown haired boy with no self-defending skills whatsoever, a "talking fishbone" that was the first one to train and love dragons. They couldn't be more different, right? Wrong. Dagur and Hiccup aren't that different if you take a closer look at them. They share many things, although some may be a secret till a certain point. "Which secrets?" you may ask. Rewrite of the movie with a female Hiccup. Hiccup and Dagur have been betrothed since birth to unite the two tribes in a lasting peace. Dagur and Hiccup have a bond closer than what anyone expected out of the arrangement, this bond doesn't make Stoick and Oswald too happy but at least their children wouldn't kill one another like many arrangements worked out. The other tribes also visit for the wedding that will forever unite the two tribes for centuries to come. Hiccup doesn't compete in dragon training as she is not old enough and her and Dagur are set to marry as soon as she turns 14. Warnings apply throughout- Bullying, kidnapping, a bit of PTSD, child neglection.

Welcome new and old readers to the official re-write of Betrothed! The Dagur/reader fan fiction that was previously written by a 16 year old who had no idea how to write apart from taking GCSE English! Now that I'm graduating University and re-watching the How to train your dragon series, I figure I've got enough motivation to re-write the original Betrothed as well as Forgiveness in the future! A few warnings I'd include are very unhealthy relationships from everyone's favourite Berserker Chief, as well as some slight non-consensual touching (nothing nsfw at all though) and a few non-consensual kisses. There's also like ONE swear in there but I can't remember which chapter. So with that, I hope you enjoy!
