In order to secure new ships and weapons for his armada, Viggo Grimborn travels to a tribe of master shipbuilders and weaponsmiths. The Tribe of the Whispering Trees happens to be hosting a Maces and Talons tournament, giving Viggo the perfect opportunity to speak with their chief. There he meets the chief's daughter, Runa Darkwood. Viggo's intrigued by the woman's clever nature, and he's surprised when she proposes a deal he can't refuse. Viggo stood for everything Runa was against, but she needed to protect her village and defend a secret no outsider knows. Despite his cold and cunning personality, Runa manages to see a different side to the seemingly heartless man. But, can she live in peace knowing she's keeping so many things from him? The prologue is set before the end of season 2 of Dragons: Race to the Edge so Hiccup and the dragon riders have come in contact with the hunters. This story was inspired by the end of season 4 when Viggo mentions a Maces and Talons tournament to Hiccup when they're flying to find the Submaripper and stop Ryker. Basically the characters from JUST before RTTE (get kiddnapped and) watch the Netflix series Dragons Race To The Edge.

Rewrite of the movie with a female Hiccup. Hiccup and Dagur have been betrothed since birth to unite the two tribes in a lasting peace. Dagur and Hiccup have a bond closer than what anyone expected out of the arrangement, this bond doesn't make Stoick and Oswald too happy but at least their children wouldn't kill one another like many arrangements worked out. The other tribes also visit for the wedding that will forever unite the two tribes for centuries to come. Hiccup doesn't compete in dragon training as she is not old enough and her and Dagur are set to marry as soon as she turns 14. Warnings apply throughout- Bullying, kidnapping, a bit of PTSD, child neglection.

You can find a new and improved rewrite of this over on Ao3 (It is titled A Chief's Work [Rewrite] by SpiderQ848) a quick google search will bring it up. Of course I can't stop you from reading this version but that one will probably be slightly more enjoyable.

[CURRENTLY ON HOLD] Dagur is back in Hiccup's life after three years and Hiccup can't not notice how much the older boy had changed. After some time, Hiccup realises he's really starting to like that guy, but it's all much more complicated when you take into account the fact that Hiccup is a half merman and has to keep it a secret. This is a How to Train your Dragon AU that I have been working on for a few months now and I'm originally posting it on AO3. I don't know if it's obvious, but this is a Dagur x Hiccup fanfic.
