As infants, Princess Allura of Altea and Prince Lotor of Daibazaal were betrothed to be married. They meet for the first time when they are fifteen, but something distracts the Prince-- A peculiar, frosty-haired boy watching them from a palace balcony. Prince Lance and Prince Lotor meet, and subsequently begin to fall in love. Alas, fate in not on their side, as Lotor is meant to marry Lance's sister.
