I know that Chuck and Blair are the 'Hearts Of GG', but I was captivated by the unexpected chemistry that bloomed between Dan and Blair in season 4 and I instantly fell for them. The thing that fascinated me the most was how their relationship changed from loathing to love and in this fanfic I wish to explore their path towards actually being together and no matter how complicated things got, they always had each other's back. This story starts from the point when they were interning at W and they had made a deal that the one who's able to impress their boss Epperly with the help of their writer in the upcoming party gets to stay and the other person quits. Despite the fact that they agreed to do this without scheming or sabotaging each other, Dan betrayes her thinking that being Blair Waldorf she would never refrain from any opportunity to scheme.

Despite what she had promised to Blair, Serena doesn't take well the news that now her best friend and Dan are together. So she leaves, needing a fresh start.
