Written between July and December 2006, Quest of the Daleks is a direct sequel to Redemption of the Daleks and is set four years after the events described in the Redemption Epilogue. It is longer than Redemption, at 65,000 words and is (I think) both deeper and darker than its predecessor and tends, in places, to be allegorical. I greatly enjoyed writing Quest and the 13 years gap between the two books has made quite a difference to the style, which I hope will be enjoyed by my readers. An accidental brush with an ancient vortex manipulator everyone thought was broken sends her back to the twenty-first century, where she must relearn how to live without the constant threat of death hanging over her head. Her carefully built facade shatters when a time-travelling madman in a navy blue police box offers to show her the stars. Again.

This will be a small series depicting what it would be like if each of the doctors companions were switched around as in nine gets Clara ten Amy and Rory eleven Martha and Donna and twelve rose very confusing but I think it will be interesting this book we'll start with nine and Clara
