When Ponyboy Curtis gets hurt, Dallas Winston is the first person he runs to. After one horrible night, the boy can only dream of being in Dallas's strong arms once again, being comforted by the older boy. Little does he know, the older greaser is thinking the same exact thing.. • • • **smut when I feel like it**

A few months after Windrixville happened, Dallas Winston is still torn on where his feelings for the young Ponyboy Curtis lie. He knows how his heart leaps every time he sees him and how his body and mind react to Ponyboy no matter what he does. But Pony feels the same way about him. The only problem? Darry and Sodapop have grown more protective ever since they almost lost Ponyboy and rarely let him out of their sight for long. How can the two Greasers be together when Ponyboy's brothers are constantly there?

One day Ponyboy finds Steve sitting at the kitchen table, brooding, upset, and sporting a large bruise on his cheek, not to mention the countless others and the way he's sitting there, uncharacteristically quiet... so Pony devises a way to get him talking. What happens next starts them off on a different part of their semi rocky relationship, or lack thereof, but that's a thing of the past. Maybe Steve actually likes the 'Tag Along' and maybe Ponyboy doesn't hate Steve like he says he does. After Johnny died, everyone spun out of control in a way none of them had ever experienced before. Darry was walking on eggshells with the courts, careful not to make even one mistake, in fear of losing custody of his brothers while also masking the pain of losing a close friend. Sodapop was a closet mess, finding it harder and harder each minute to keep up a smile. The losses he was suffering were too much too soon for him to handle. But who could he turn to for help? Pony boy wasn't hiding his bad coping or multitude of cigarette packs lying around the house. He just lost his best buddy- and now he had to worry about Dallas. After Johnny died, Dallas had gone berserk. It hit him hardest. Two-bit was forcing a smile as he threw back bottles of beer and ignored any source of conversation. It was his way of coping. Meanwhile Steve had a hard time shutting up about it. Everyone was on edge, sleep deprived, and stressed to the max. How could they be there for eachother when they were falling apart themselves? Who was going to help Sodapop pull himself out of his dark thoughts? And would Dallas be able to get through this? Who knows. (StevePop eventually. Dallyboy eventually. Angst. Depressive episodes. A modern day Dallyboy fanfic. After their parents had died in a tragic accident, Sodapop Curtis and his older brother Darry dropped out of school to get jobs and help support eachother, and their youngest brother Ponyboy. Pony stayed in school and as the weeks flew by, so did the bills. Unable to keep up in the busy neighbourhood their parents once raised them in, Darry decided it was time to move away to a cheaper area. Although the boys were well liked, none of them had much to leave behind. Ponyboy pleads not to move away, but it's already been decided. Their house is sold and they leave busy Toronto to travel their way to the far outskirts of New York City. They have no idea what to expect or who they're going to meet. As they pull up to their new street, dirty and littered with hoodlums of all kinds in the brink of downtown, a guy in a brown leather jacket, holding someone up by their throat, catches Ponyboy's eye. This book will MOSTLY have these three. It will include fluff a lot of it. Maybe smut if I suddenly feel like I want to. Ships like Dallyboy, Johnnyboy and Jally will be in this book. Maybe Stevepop but I gotta learn, seriously. I don't ship Jally but I'm capable of making a one shot about it. All characters will be mentioned in the book.
