When Amber found out, she got really depressed and worried, and joined the military, to help pay the hospital bills, and also to get away from home for awhile. When Dax found out Amber was gone, he regretted his decisions about her. His hospital bills were being paid, but he didn't know who was paying them. When he heard Amber was coming back, little did he know that she had forgotten all her feelings she had for him and has a new lover.
