This story is an alternative sequel to the film 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' and serves to continue it's story while the the real sequel is made. In some, or all instances, this book is an inaccurate depiction of the events that follow 'The Force Awakens.' It borrows characters and adapts plotlines that feature through the 'Expanded Universe' as well, in an attempt to make them canon. After delivering a crushing blow to the First Order and having found Luke Skywalker on the uncharted planet of Ahch-To, the Resistance is now fully delivering on the Rebel Alliance's promise to rid the galaxy of the Empire and Sith alike. Skywalker sensed the force's awakening and now, the girl in whom the force has awoken, Rey, has found Luke. Years have passed since Luke last met with another person, and now, as dark forces surround them in the form of the twisted Kylo Ren and the manipulative Leader Snoke, Luke Skywalker once again finds himself as the galaxy's only hope.

The first Jedi never really dies, she is just reborn. Neither light or sith, she stands alone. The only one who can balance both sides of the force, she is a grey jedi.
