Damon's an old lover and neither ever really got over the other, but what happens when Katherine and Elena stand in the way of their happy ending. And the rest of the Mikaelsons might not be very happy about their relationship either. Then when her mother is resurrected claiming that someone Abbe thought she had lost years ago may still be alive. Abbe must break new and old promises alike for the new promise of the one she loves most in the world.
