Lydia has a car accident and she ends up in the vampire diaries world as Lydia Gilbert, identical twin sister of Elena Gilbert. But she's not a doppelgänger, she's a siphoner. For whatever reason, while she has all of Lydia Gilbert's memories as if she lived them herself, she has no memory of what will happen. And yet she's aware of who the Salvatore brothers are (and what they are) as well as why Damon is in Mystic Falls. She knows about the tomb and about Katherine Pierce (though she doesn't know she's not inside the tomb) and that Damon needs her help to open it. But that's all, no memories of future events except for one thing: Elena is the doppelgänger and she needs to be protected. But, from what? Damon/OC(Lydia). "You don't have any idea how similar we really are... but that's okay. I'm used to it already." I whisper softly and then I'm gone. Lily Fray is a normal teenage girl. Or as normal as could in Mystic Falls. When she meets Damon Salvatore at a cemetery her live changes completely. Will a lonely girl change something in Damon's heart? OC

Blair Gilbert is Elena's older sister and a witch-a siphoner, really, but Damon Salvatore doesn't know that. Damon needs her help with opening the tomb and so they strike a deal: he stops killing locals, fakes being her boyfriend, teaches her all he knows about vampires, and she helps him get what he wants. Simple. Except nothing is simple when it comes to the Salvatore brothers. Stefan can't stop wanting the wrong Gilbert sister after kissing Blair at the back-to-school party like he wanted to devour her, even as he tried to compel her to forget before running back to Elena. And Damon is far better company than a murderous immortal should be (which complicates the 'no feelings involved' clause). Blair soon realizes that holding on to control-over her magic, her body, her emotions-might be close to impossible, especially as she's running out of reasons to keep Elena in the dark.
