Marble Hornets. It was a story that existed in Tucscaloosa and stayed there. Or so, we thought. Little did we know that there were many others, many other people were experiencing the same thing. And worse. Little did we know about all these other people, we didn't know about the collective, we didn't know about the cult, Noah, Evan, Vinny, the Doctor, New Jersey, or Florida, or Ohio. We didn't know about. We didn't know what happened to Seth. We didn't know about what would happen to Jessica later on. We didn't know about the Habit. We didn't know about Patrick. We didn't know about any of it. When I left Tuscaloosa, I didn't know there was more and I didn't know how complex this was. We didn't know about the boardwalk, the bridge, the false reality, or the power we ourselves held. I don't know where this will take me. I don't know how to handle this. Maybe if we knew we could have saved all of them. But I don't know. They could all still be alive. I hate to have false hope, but there were no graves, and there were no bodies. A fantasy short story I wrote for a university English course inspired and based on a Slavic folklore tale. This story follows two brothers who are looking for something but have lost their way. However, one of them discovers a mysterious magical bird, and they resolve to follow it. It will be a long and difficult journey, that will take all of their wits and will, and they will face tests and have to make hard choices. What will they discover? Will it be what they are looking for?
