Dolokhov realizes that Anatole is like the sun. Bright, warm; but the sun can burn.

anatole likes to be bruised, likes the bruises fedya leaves on him, even if they're hidden. his favorites are on his wrists, from fedya holding him down.

"then why do you say you love me?" it only registers to dolokhov that he was the one who had said it when it's hanging in the air already, surrounded by silence. asking a question that he knows anatole doesn't have the answer to.

"fedya, i-i'm dying, aren't i?" anatole licks his lips. they're so dry, and cracked, and so, so pale. dolokhov tenses up.

dolohov's restless. he supposes he's been restless his whole life. nothing can really change his nature; the way his piercing, blue eyes shift quickly, calculating and cold. anatole tries to break his shell, though he still hasn't managed. dolokhov intends for that to remain the case. he doesn't want someone like anatole, so shallow in his view of the world, to worm their way into his life.

Short description: Hélène and Natasha meet and Natasha is both frightened and intrigued by Hélène's beauty. About: Based on War and Peace, but specifically the musical adaptation of it, Great Comet. Not going to be plotted out or necessarily that well-written, just a fun little dump for my ideas. I'm not exactly sure where this story will go, Natasha and Hélène might have a healthy and great relationship, but most likely, it will be more of a manipulative one. Also, this is supposed to be a romance, I guess, but it might stray into others things, since this will kind of just be a dump for all my Great Comet ideas. Who knows, it might end up being about Balaga the troika driver's backstory, idk! (Also, mainly Natasha and Hélène, but don't be alarmed if there's some Marya/Hélène, Natasha/Marya, or Sonya/Natasha thrown in there cuz why not ;) (Don't worry Sonya's adopted, she's not actually Natasha's cousin...) Note: If you haven't read War And Peace or listened to Great Comet, the story will still (hopefully) make sense, but you might miss occasional references to the musical. Here's a quick rundown of all the characters in (mostly) the musical's words to help: Old Prince Bolkonsky is crazy and Mary is plain. Andrey's family is totally messed-up. And Balaga is just there for fun. Dolokhov is fierce, but not too important. He's Anatole's friend, a crazy good shot. Hélène is a slut and Anatole's sister married to Pierre. Anatole is hot and he spends his money on women and wine. Marya is old-school, the grand dame of Moscow. She's Natasha's godmother, strict, yet kind. Sonya is good, Natasha's cousin and closest friend. Natasha is young and she loves Andrey with all her heart. Finally, Pierre is bewildered and awkward and always having an existential crisis.

To make up for lack of a lot of musicals imagines and preferences, I have created this. Requests are open, I will write for more musicals who have a lack of content or characters. ❝in nineteenth century russia, we write letters.❞ to everyone except for anatole, it is very obvious that dolokhov is in love with his best friend. after anatole left for petersburg after the failed abduction, dolokhov was devastated. dolokhov didn't know how to deal with his feelings, but then started to write letters to anatole but never send them. these would get his emotions out, right? however, his good friend couldn't stand to see him sad all the time. ❝we put down in writing what is happening in our minds.❞ headcanon: sonya is good friends with dolokhov. ships: natasha/andrei, dolokhov/anatole, (implied) hélène/pierre

Hello! After almost a year of writers block, I'm back! I wrote a story about Anatole recently(not this) and it brought me back! I have this story/au entirely planned out, so hopefully I don't burn out. Later in the story I'll add a list with everyones disabilities. With out further ado, enjoy!
