I was 13 when my dad picked me up from dance class, drunk. All I remember was I got in the truck and he started swerving all over the road, then he hit a car... My arm, I could barely move since, it's technically paralyzed but nothing else, but I didn't quit dancing, I want to show people that despite my arm, I can do whatever I want.

Being a male belly dancer is not an easy decision, especially in the society where masculinity is the only norm for men and anything else is considered feminine. But still, at the end, let's hope this changes and only the dance could be judged not the gender of performer or the dance form. Let's hope for acceptance... someday it will come true.
