For months the Xianzhou has suffered from attacks from demonic creatures coming from the dark realm without any success of reaching out to the demon lord. When it started getting hard for the Xianzhou soldiers Dan Feng, as the crowned Prince, decided it'd be best if he payed him a visit himself. Only to find out he's been set up there for an arranged marriage with the demon lord. (An au where Dan Feng has met Yingxing and doesn't become a traitor. Yingxing on the other hand has already died and has become a demon lord ruling over the dark realm.)

Pending the events of the Xianzou Loufu, Dan Heng sets out to prove his newfound identity to Blade and break free from the bounds of Imbibitor Lunae. A fated series of events leads them on a journey of love in an enemies-to-lovers story, the like of which is almost certainly not in Elio's script.
