After the Hope's Peak Academy killing game, the survivors were rescued by the Future Foundation and joined them to help save the world from despair. Time passes, and Makoto Naegi is charged with treason, for protecting the Remnants of Despair. The Leaders of the Future Foundation branches gather for Makoto's trial, but they soon become trapped by Monokuma who thrusts them into one "Final Killing Game". Will hope win again, or will despair take reign once more?
