When my mother was alive, magic was the only string that kept her and I together. The silly card tricks, even pulling a rabbit out of the hat. It all connected me to her, pulling me into a seemingly better reality than where I was. But in the blink of an eye, she was gone. That string snapped. Despite lack of presence in Emma's life, her brother attempts to weigh in on her decision to be a part of their group and tries to keep her behind the scenes as much as possible. She and one of the other Horsemen start developing feelings that Carly doesn't necessarily know what to do with.
