He is instantly drawn to Elle, but she has her mind on Leo. Daniel's playful personality and deep late-night chats with her get Elle to see him in a new light, though. Ben and Chris are in and out of her house---Elle is the girl with the swimming pool on her block, and a home theater her dad is super proud of. The Aussie boys can't resist coming over. They are Daniel's best friends, and they're both a whole lot of fun. Then there's her bestie, Libby, and her older step-brother, Jared Leto. Jared is sweet and compassionate. He's always asking Elle about her life. Elle has always gotten lost in his baby blues for as long as she's known him. Lastly, there's the school counselor, Kurt Cobain. Everyone at school lovingly calls him CoCo. He's a single dad and tries his best to give Elle guidance during one of the most tumultuous and exhilarating years of her life. Ben and Chris watched on in horror--- They could do nothing to stop what was happening to their best mate before their eyes. The crowd surrounding Dan was thick with screaming, adoring, frenzied, grateful fans. They could do nothing as they saw her fangs glimmer beneath the neon lights of the marquee. Tears swelled up in their eyes, tears of terror.
