So I do fear that If you are not particularly fond of the musical that the beginning half of this AU is tough. Because of that as well, This work is not fully a retelling of the original story, so if you do enjoy this work I beg of you to read The Great Gatsby or watch the movie (the only one I can recommend personally is the 2013 version as its the only one I've seen xd)

My dad calls up the stairs. "Coming dad!" I shout back while throwing my hair into a quick bun, and bounding down the staircase. "Ready, sweetheart." "Yes, sir" I replied standing a little straighter mocking the standard navy 'attention' stance. "Well then hop to it sailor."

TV Show: Hawaii Five-0, Main characters: Steve McGarrett & Danny Willams Danny received a mysterious Valentine's card, however much time for figuring out who sent it, he doesn't get when duty calls. Also Steve is acting strange. Would they finally admit what they are truly feeling for each other? This low-key Valentine's day might be the perfect occasion for that.. This is a different version of H50's Valentine's day episode (10x16) focused on McDanno (Steve McGarrett & Danny Williams). There's no supermarket robbery, no case.. Plenty of time for Valentine's day and McDanno argues ;). I got inspired to write something after seeing 10x15's ending. Small warning: This story contains spoilers for the episodes 10x14 & 10x15! And perhaps a bit from 10x16. (haven't seen that one yet because it hasn't aired here yet but I've read/seen some fragments.) If later chapters will contain spoilers from later episodes, I will give a new warning. Story will mainly be written in the POV's of Danny and Steve. EDIT April, 5: Even though ep 10x16 (chapter 3 will come after I've seen this one) airs here tonight, I also already read about 10x22 (not seeing spoilers is impossible haha) and I've got a strong feeling that after I have seen the final, I want to write a different story. For now I'm just going to continue this version the way I planned it. It's always possible to start a new McDanno story next month.

Meet Miranda Williams or better yet known as Mrs.Mcgarrett before Miranda moved to Hawaii she lived in Newark New Jersey with her older brother Danny William's Miranda was his partner out in the field during a case they were working on Miranda had to follow a lead in Hawaii where she soon partnered up with the one and only John Mcgarrett while she was working with John she meets Steve who was on temporarily leave from the Navy John Mcgarrett made sure Steve met Miranda since he knew she was something special and around that time Steve needed something special in his life so he sets them up in a surprised date and they kept going from there But see how Miranda life is once the Five-0 task force is formed and especially see how she deals with Steve and Danny bickering like an old married couple (I gave most of how Miranda started in the description because I'm just going to jump right into the beginning of the show anyways hope you enjoy it)

Steve McGarrett is the head of the Five-0 task force in Hawaii! He lives with his three children Aj, Kelsey, and Carson, all of which came from his now ex-girlfriend Catherine Rollins who serves in the Navy. Life was never easy, even when Catherine was in the picture, but now that new people are coming into their lives and old ones are re-surfacing it becomes even more of a challenge to adjust to their everyday life. I do not own any of the Hawaii Five-0 characters and I've also used bits and pieces from the show that I also don't own. The children, and any other characters not in the show were made up by me! Sadly they divorced shortly after their marriage, little did Steve know she would soon have a child. Years later Steve learns Annie is in the hospital and is near death, he rushes to the hospital just in time to hear her last few words, "I was murdered, find who did this and take care of Jenna..."
