daniel howell is a shy, nervous boy, with a love for the piano. his entire life has been dedicated to it, and losing the piano would be fatal. playing the piano brings him a certain type of happiness that nothing or no one can give him. but after his mother's death, daniel feels as though his entire life has just collapsed. he feels like a giant part of him has been lost. his will to play the piano disappears and no longer brings him the same happiness and love he once felt. it just leads a trail of sadness, sorrow, and pain. however when the upbeat, confident, violinist, phil lester enters his life, everything changes again. phil teaches dan how to feel love, and how to feel the music within him again. however as their relationship grows, and new issues emerge, this goal seems near impossible to accomplish. however phil brings dan the inspiration and love he was so close to losing but with a price.

Dan Howell lives a pretty normal life...okay, okay. Maybe not, but eh, living in Manchester with his best friend Phil Lester is possibly as normal as it gets. Living in a life full of twists and turns, thinking way too much, and just being yourself is about almost Dan in a nutshell. (Btw, this is not a Phan fanfic. I don't ship them, sorry XD)
