The door slammed and I jumped alittle, squeezing my body farther into the laundry room hoping it was just my kids home from school. "Hello?" I called out again as all sounds in the house came to a hush. I shook it off thinking I just heard things. I hummed chewing on my nails. Suddenly the door creaked open and a hand shot out, catch my wrist. I couldn't breathe, no words came out as I slowly turned towards the door, I turned slowly,my wrist was set free and a mask was left balancing on the corner of the washer. The initials B.S were carved into the back of the mask, I flipped it over jumping a little when I found it painted solid red with too black tiny holes that were used to see out of poked into the mask. I was suddenly snapped out of my trans when I heard a baby cry, that's when it hit me. I forgot Emily was home.
