Cameron's life was going well. Nice schooling, future job lined up, still living with her mom though she was hardly there. But after going to study abroad in London and dropping out things got a bit more complicated. Calling her mom to say what happened ended up with her being homeless with no way home. Now she was stuck in London without anywhere to go.
