It's a start of a new school year and Phil is sent to an all boys boarding school and automatically becomes friends with Dan within the first few days. Eventually both start questioning their sexuality and feelings towards each other but being in an all boy boarding school makes things complicated and even a little out of hand. With most boys living there being homophobic (over time, even the teachers seem to be like it too) Dan and Phil are caught showing their feelings to one another. Soon enough, this leads into becoming the end of their happy school experience and it becomes hell for them each day, it gets extremely worse when they think it was impossible; they start getting physically beaten, words start getting to them and the teachers are in on it too. The school seems like a prison and they can't escape it. Will they stay together? What action will they take to stop this humiliation? Will they be able to take a whole year of this? Phil Lester moves to London, England when his parents got a new job and meets a boy his age named Dan Howell. The two become the best of friends, but problems arise when the two get older. "How do I know you aren't lying to me? You could be one of them for all I know. How do I know I can trust you?" He questioned as he pushed the taller man away from him and stood his ground. He wasn't going down without a fight. "Ugh, I don't have time for this!" He put his hands to his face and took a step away from Phil. "Fine. You know what, if you want to get yourself killed, go right ahead. But I have a job to do and you better not get in my way, got it?" He asked as he pushed his short hair out of hid face. Phil could now see two brown sparkling eyes glaring back at him. "Yeah, I got it," Phil replied quietly before he realized what the man had said. "Wait, what kind of job? What is this? Are you with the police?" he asked, slowly backing away from him. The man in all black scoffed. "No, I'm not with the police. And if you want to make it out of here alive, you'll stop asking questions and hightail it out of here. This is serious work, buddy. Now shoo, I'm busy. Oh, and don't tell anyone you saw me, we would want any more trouble than we're already in." And without another word, he turned on his heels and ran. Phil watched in awe as he easily scaled the tall building they were standing nearby. He remembered that it used to be a library. The mystery man reached the top quickly, and started off in the direction the the men had gone with Katie. Suddenly, there were loud footsteps headed closer to the opening he was still standing in, and Phil knew he couldn't be there. He stared to run in the opposite direction, and kept going until he wasn't quite sure where he was. He stopped to catch his breath. 'Who was that?' Phil wondered, as he looked around. He wasn't that far from his apartment building. Apparently he ran in the right direction. 'I have to find them again,' Phil thought as he made his way home. He was definitely going to be late for dinner.

Its been a couple days since Dan founds Phil's body cold on the ground his anxiety and depression got worse as he didn't know the words to say to his viewers.. what would he say? "oh yeah by the way, Phil's been murdered!" yeah that'll work. Dan lays in bed thinking what would he do if he were there to fix it. could he had done anything for his friend? the funeral was in two days and Dan still couldn't bring himself to get out of bed in the morning.. But when he walks into the kitchen that morning and sees Phil, Dan's world turned upside down. The week had restarted as Dan investigates who murdered Phil Lester or shall we say will murder?

A year after Phil left Dan when Dan revealed his feelings to Phil, Dan decides to move on with life and try to escape his dull world and dark depression, by moving to Rome to study photography. He decides to spend his last moments in his home at 'their' coffee shop and think about Phil. Then that same day everything changes and he has many questions that need answers, and one of them is if Phil is 'Unforgiven'.
